CHAPTER SIXTY-THREE

1998 – Thanksgiving

My sister and niece arrived from Montego Bay in November.

The adjustment seemed easy for them.  Hetty told me she could really see herself settling down in the neighborhood.  Yasmin was looking forward to starting Brooklyn College as soon as possible.

We went to Téo and Lali’s for Thanksgiving dinner.

I warned Yasmin to stay away from Olmando.

She told me he was too old for her and not her type.

Smart girl.
